about

As the year comes to a close it's time for the latest annual promo tape, released, again, on our own PSALM 88.

This one features two tracks of synthy lo-fi black metal about water and death, a lengthy ambient piece about water and Appalachian poverty, and a cover of a 17th Century German folk song. it's about death too, of course.

Dedicated to the memory of Eli R. Thomas (1987-2016)

credits

released November 10, 2017

or this record Dunnock consisted of Jacob Thomas who played guitar, drums, synths, mountain dulcimer, and drum machine, along with providing vocals.

He was assisted in this venture by Tammy McCoy who sang lead vocals on "es ist ein schnitter, der heißt tod" and Balan who played drums on "Schuylkill River."

Recorded for the most part between Summer 2016 and Fall 2017 in The Aviary.

Cover star is Paul Legrand as Pierrot, photographed by Nadar circa 1855.
